LightHawk is dedicated to preserving the health of rivers and restoring riparian habitats to benefit both people and wildlife. One of our key initiatives focuses on preserving the Colorado River, renowned as one of the world’s hardest-working and most beloved rivers.

Stretching across seven states in the U.S. and two states in Mexico, the Colorado River provides water to over 40 million people and irrigates 5.5 million acres of farmland. Additionally, it serves as the lifeblood for native tribes, sustains seven National Wildlife Refuges, and enriches 11 National Parks.
