Since 2010, Jamie Gamble has put his aviation expertise and commitment to conservation to work across New England, the Mid-Atlantic and as far west as Wisconsin. He has helped partners assess forest habitat in Vermont, document algal blooms on Lake Champlain and work toward protecting 78,000 acres in northwestern Maine. His service extends beyond the cockpit: through the Granby Land Trust, Jamie has also helped permanently protect land in a developing part of Connecticut. That sustained dedication, both as a volunteer pilot and within his own community, exemplifies the service recognized by LightHawk’s highest honor.
