About LightHawk
LightHawk is the leader in conservation flying in the US. We partner with the leading conservation groups to tackle the top conservation priorities in North America. We believe that we can’t fix a problem we cannot see or understand, so with well-planned use of aviation, and 300 volunteer pilots, our flights reveal the truth of damage to our environment. By showing our passengers what’s at risk, they are inspired, and they take action to protect endangered wildlife, defend our fresh water, and safeguard our lands, our oceans, and our quality of life.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1979 and based in Fort Collins, Colorado.
What We Seek In Design
Our stature in the conservation community is growing. Our work is innovative, bold, adventurous, and smart. We are changing our planet, and we want our design to reflect and support our leadership role.
In our marketing and fundraising, we are retooling to drive engagement, reach new audiences, and create a peer-to-peer buzz that increases the number of people we can directly reach with our mail, email and online presence. How can your design help advance those ideas?
Beyond the tangibles of the printed media outlined below, we seek design that reflects our emerging role as a national conservation leader. While we are not considering changing our logo, we are seeking inspirational design, reflective of our growing stature in the conservation community.
As part of your submission, please describe in detail your expertise in nonprofit direct mail fundraising. Success in this area will be a plus in your proposal.
While not required, you are invited to submit sketches or ideas, which will help us choose a designer.
